Vancouver, BC, must be one of the ten most beautiful places on earth. Mountains, water, temperate climate year round, a meeting place for East and West. photo(6)Such a meeting took place at the Vancouver Peace Summit September 25-29, 2009. For us at the Fetzer Institute, it was a time of celebration for our Fetzer Prize for Love and Forgiveness.  Please visit the special video page and learn all about the Prize.

Tutu and HHDLI attended a conference-within-a-conference called Connecting for Change. This collection of 130 people led by some of the best facilitators in North America resulted in an amazing set of new relationships and ideas. So did the two packed days of large-scale events that surrounded C4C.You can find my cascade of tweets here.

I would love to tell you more, but tonight I just can’t.  I am ready to sink into happy, hopeful exhaustion here at the Shangra-La Hotel, which has more than lived up to its name.

These five days in Vancouver will sink into my dreams, and I will carry them with me to the end of my days.

I followed you on Facebook and I can see how inspirational these few days must have been. Is this the first time you've attended such an amazing event? What incredible people from all over the world.

This was the first time I ever attended an event sponsored by the Dalai Lama Center, but I have been with twelve of the Nobel Peace Laureates at two different events and have been with The Dalai Lama himself in a very small audience and had the great honor of having a Kata (white welcome scarf) placed around my neck by His Holiness. Everyone talks about him as having presence–and it's true.
